Wendy Sumner Alexander

Wendy B. Sumner Alexander is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who works closely with Dr. Stephen Mitchell. She is a Fellow with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Physician Assistants in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as well as the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants. She received her Bachelor's of Science with high honors from The Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester New York. Before joining our practice, she worked with cancer patients in Murfreesboro, TN.
The practice of Otolaryngology offers Wendy the Opportunity to incorporate some of her other interests. Our Deaf and hard of hearing patients will be glad to know she is fluent in sign language and worked as an interpreter at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf for many years. She also has studied voice, music theory and occasionally performs children's music with her sister, recording artist Rachel Sumner. Wendy is passionate about the arts, scuba diving and her little girl.
